- Jasmine is a diverse genus of over 200 species of flowering plants, ranging from tropical shrubs to semi-tropical vines. Known for their intensely fragrant flowers, they are widely cultivated for their use in perfumes, teas, and landscaping. While often associated with white flowers, some species produce fragrant yellow or pink blooms.
- Primrose Jasmine is a remarkably easy-to-grow, sprawling shrub that thrives in limited-rain environments once established. Its an exception to the jasmine familys usual white blooms, instead producing vibrant yellow flowers in early spring. Its classic jasmine fragrance and impressive size make it a standout in any landscape. Primrose Jasmine can grow up to ten feet tall and twice as wide, with a habit of rooting new limbs as it spreads.
- Care: When mature, plant in fertile, well-draining soil in a lightly shaded location. Water as needed to maintain adequate soil moisture. Feed a good-quality, bloom-boosting fertilizer with the initial planting and annually thereafter in the spring. Prune after flowering to maintain shape. Protect from chilling when temperatures are forecast to fall below 50*F.
